As a result of visiting the Science Fiction museum in Seattle, I've scrapped my original plot and am going with something entirely new. It takes place in the future, and most of the planets and moons have people living on them. It's about a guy and his friends who steal a ship (yes, it was somewhat inspired by The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy), and then it goes on from there. I know pretty much what I want my main character to be like, but I'm still deciding whether or not to give him a tragic past.

I'm really excited about this idea, much more so than my other one, and I think it'll be a blast to write. It'll also probably be about ten times easier. This plot is so much more flexible; I can do so much more with it. And I (probably) won't have to worry about it being boring.
